I haven't had a job since February 2020 and I am looking to get a remote job. My former employer was doing PPP and SBA loan fraud and he finally got caught a few months ago.
For his business, I was an independent contractor and luckily he really didn't care what I did as he was making money nefariously. My biggest concern is when I start getting job offers, would it look funny that I don't have my past job on my employment background? The other job I am putting down also closed due to COVID-19 but it was a national brand that people would know.
Has anyone put down their independent contractor job on their resume and had problems when it came to the employment background check?
