7-Eleven layoffs

Hasn't gotten into the news yet, but 7-Eleven corporate is laying off over 3K employees this week, in total about 40% of the company. Entire departments wiped out or reduced to skeleton teams (advertising, recruiting, maintenance, IT, training, ect.). Meanwhile they just had record profits and closed on acquiring Speedway for 22Billion and gave us less than 3% raises for the year despite hitting all targets. All these people let go right before bonuses are paid out too. Scummy company that takes advantage of their staff and especially their franchisees. Imagine forcing stores to stay open 24/7 during Covid because they're essential but if they operated at a loss for the month THEY owed YOU money.
