a campaign of online reviews.

I used to work as a manager for this shady cellphone company that treated its employees like shit. I once overheard a meeting with the higher ups that they said district manager and below accounted for 30% of the company's profits and they wanted to get it down to 25%. Logically the only way to do that is cut pay. The job was hourly plus commission so they manipulated the commission structure to the point where the sales reps and managers made significantly less. It was the only job I ever had where you made less money year over year. Anyway, people starting quitting in droves and leaving terrible reviews of the company on places like Glassdoor and Indeed. All legitimate reviews. It got to the point where the company began to take notice. Here's where it gets interesting, they are fully aware that former and current employees are unhappy…

It got to the point where the company began to take notice. Here's where it gets interesting, they are fully aware that former and current employees are unhappy and rather than fix the problem at it's core. They ran a campaign through the higher up and back office employees (who are paid and treated much better) to spend the work day posting five star reviews to artificially inflate their ratings.
