Boss installed cameras in the building, including the bathroom because he’s convinced people are wasting time on their phone avoiding work.
I work for a smaller local supply chain as an admin assistant. My boomer boss has always had a hard on for criticizing the younger generation for no work ethic when he himself inherited both this business and a small amount of wealth from earlier generations.
He’s convinced the employees are “stealing time” taking “too long” in the bathroom and has decided to install cameras throughout the building under the guise of security but he’s been stating he also wants to keep tabs on people and monitor that they’re at their workstations, not hiding in the bathroom avoiding work, etc.
Not sure if this is even legal but for $15/hr I really don’t feel like being micromanaged to this degree.
