Opinion: More people should look in to working commission-based jobs in this sub

This is only anti-work in the sense that I want to bring some attention to something that could help those in toxic work environments. I hope this doesn't break the rules, as this is just an opinion post. Insurance agents, real estate agents, etc. No degree required, extremely high pay ceiling, independent = you are practically your own boss, you pick the hours you work. The thing about these industries is that it may be unrealistic for someone who is living paycheck to paycheck since you probably won't make much money out the gate and will have to pay for your own wardrobe, gas (driving is nonstop), etc. Writing those things off does make it a little easier but its something to consider. I think that the trade path out of high school is awesome. I think this path is awesome. If you actually know what you want to do…

I think that the trade path out of high school is awesome. I think this path is awesome. If you actually know what you want to do with some conviction, go ahead and go to college. There is a lot of paths people can take to be successful but I just wanted to shine some light on one that may help even one person out. Do you make decent money (you can live comfortably and maybe save up a few months in advance), hate being micromanaged, sick of toxic work cultures, all that stuff? Maybe just see if you have any connections that could get your foot in the door to something that's 1099 instead of w2. See your options and know that in a lot of markets, this is a viable one too.
