I work for a nonprofit we help ppl outta poverty. We get these communities food water hygiene products and even develop key agricultural infrastructures to give people the means to support themselves sustainably.
Me: Pitching my nonprofit to a boomer
Boomer: no thanks I’m not a socialist
Me: you don’t have to be to help people survive
Boomer: I have 6 kids and my beautiful wife * grabs wife’s arm and shakes her in a boomer like manner * I married her in Mexico and brought her over here and she loves it, never complains!
Wife: *visibly uncomfortable *
Me: uhm okay
TLDR: rich boomer with mail-in bride thinks charity is socialism
