Me “Yes I am”
Gladys “Ok well we filled the position of manager at our xxxx location but,,, would you be interested in a mechanic or tire technician? It would put you in front of the manager so you could show them your management material.”
me “Nope, I'm afraid I would feel disingenuous to apply for the tire tech or mechanic position when I'm looking for assistant manager or manager position have a nice day.”
55 years old I'm just not going to be a tire grunt when I've been a manager and spent my time working my way up.
