I wanted to earn some money during the summer so I called around for jobs. I ended up getting hired by a production company as graphic / digital designer. This is such a high level company that I felt honored. Than they told me they had no budget left so couldn’t officially hire me. They said “come as an intern and we will pay you after”.
During this weeks, I worked on huge movies and big series. When I told my boss that the situation was wrong, he said “you’re just an intern. They don’t get paid”. The fact that they were out of budget was obviously a lie. Reputation is super important in the industry so I can’t ruffle too many feathers either. I just feel really bad about it.
