So i work for a small business in the UK. My job is to draw CAD drawings for static caravans, stock control, graphic design, HR and a whole lot of other things i never signed up for.
At this point i have more responsibilities than my manager but apparently i am still only an administrator at £11 per hour which is ridiculous.
Yesterday i tested positive for covid but i’m feeling good. Had some mild symptoms but feel one hundred percent to carry out my work tasks which i 100% can do from my home laptop. But my boss refuses to let me work from home even tho it would benefit the team as none of them are trained to do half of my daily tasks, she would “much rather get me to catch up on everything when i’m back” because she cannot monitor me when i’m at home.
Like sorry but she can’t even work an excel sheet, never mind monitoring me when i’m at work cause she’s in the office twice a week if that & if she’s in the office she’s either drinking, going out to get her nails done or taking credit for my teams work in front of investors
i’m just fucking sick of this, on top of everything i’m not even entitled for sick pay cause when i started this job i was coerced into being self employed “cause it’s so good for you” and my stupid 19 year old self gobbled that shit right up.
I wanna quit so bad but on top of covid i have two weeks off in three weeks so i can’t do anything until after then.
