Ok so like today I went to ask my HR manager for some time off work, literally just two days, nothing too demanding. She greeted me with a smile but once I asked for the time off her smile immediately just drops and I honestly got worried, but said she was alright with it and made sure that the co worker I'm currently working under knew and was alright with it, (dude is literally such a chill guy compared to her). Nothing so far bad has come out of it (yet), but honestly her reaction nearly made me say ohhhhhh I see how it is. But yeah hoping I don't get less hours or something because of this.
