Union-Free jobs are a no.

Not a long post but I remember working at Starbucks and my manager had me working doubles (5:30am-11:30pm) a few days that week. I told him I needed to take a vacation a month and a half away and he said I was the only manager who could do the work. We had 4 different people other than myself who could work the shift. I asked for three days a couple months already and they were declined for the same reason. I took it to the chin that time but couldn’t do it again. He also cut my hours from 40-43 hours a week to 7 hours after he heard I had another job lined up. “I thought you didn’t need the money since you looking”. I reported this to my District Manager with evidence of me putting in pto, how he made me clean up poop after our drains clogged up(then wrote me up for closing the store, that’s another story), how I covered his friends shift , and my hours cut. Because he we the favorite of the district they let him off free and I had to be fired. The day I quit he was smiling and I told him I will punch him in his face and threw my keys on the counter and let him clean the entire store along with his friend I had with me that night.

Happy that Starbucks unionizing.
