So I decided it was time to stand up for myself so I setup a meeting with HR about my compensation. Yesterday I met with HR and pleaded my case for my free market value. I manage 2 teams and up until a month ago was 20 people. Our job is software development. I treat my team with respect and love. Like actual human beings. In the end I gave them a number and said we need to bridge the gap between my estimation of the value of my time and yours.
P.S. Found out one of the workers I manage makes almost 40k more than me!!
