I went from giving 15+ estimates every week to maybe 1 if Im lucky. I have a few friends who run similar businesses and its the same situation for them as well. After weeks of fighting for leads, failing at paid advertisements etc I decided to break out the ole resume and get on indeed. Applied for a position at an up an coming warehouse (i wont list the name) pay was decent 75k a year salary 50 hours a week required 10 hour days monday through friday. Next day get a call asking if I'm free to do a phone interview so I do. It goes great day after that I have another interview with the owner and the head of HR for my second interview. Goes amazing. Immediately after the second interview I get sent onboarding paperwork, a salary contract i sign it all. Send in copies of my ID, social etc. They give me my start date (next Wednesday) Well today rolls around and I got an email telling me they filled the position with someone else and they appriciate my interest in the position. Well about an hour later I got an offer to buy into my buddies company which is doing really well and has been in business for 4 years and he is looking to expand so I bought in as a silent partner and im taking this as a sign from the universe to stay away from the typical job.
