Does anyone else here prefer to work non-remotely?

I might be a special case as I am a university professor of linguistics and modern languages, but given the option I would most definitely rather teach face-to-face than online, even synchronously online. I feel quite strongly about this even though online has become more and more common. During the height of the pandemic two years ago, I even took the option to face-to-face as much as possible despite having suffered greatly from COVID. Many of my colleagues took other options and tried to pass it off as health concerns, but for many of them they were just lazy. After the first time, there was such a huge pushback from students sick of no real instruction that the university imposed face-to-face teaching on faculty unless they had a medical excuse. I will also admit that I am about to move and my commute will be 1/10 of what it was, so I am very fortunate in that regard. Does anyone else prefer to work in person? If so, what do you do and why do you prefer to 'go into the office'?
