So I just received an email from recruiting for a job fair hiring for various positions. On the email it said “starting at $X/hr plus commission”. The starting pay is on the flyer is 16.67% more than what I am making now. I'm like well damn, If you're paying that much for new hires, I should get a raise, especially since I've been here so long and I'm making nearly 17% less than the wage advertised on the flyer.
I replied to the email saying I actually work one of the positions your hiring for and and I'm making a lot less than the flyer advertised, and I'd be interested in some of the higher paid positions. Currently awaiting a reply from the recruiting department and we'll see how it goes.
