Put my two weeks in at i company I’ve been with for 8 years, General manager fired me Friday of the first week.

I’ve worked at this Subaru dealership for 4 years and another the same owners another 4. I have been underutilized, underpaid and mistreated by multiple people at this place. Some context, felt since I “look intimidating “ their words, I have been targeted and lectured for things others could get away with. Such as using the bathroom, using my phone to text a colleague to make shirts for this place and told by the general manager never uses his phone unless for business [bullshit], getting Covid and being the only one to have a manager show up at their house to confirm results. I was also told In the beginning of the pandemic when they had no personal protective equipment and had me getting in and out of customers cars all day, I told them I did not feel safe and wished to go home they were sending everybody home…

I was also told In the beginning of the pandemic when they had no personal protective equipment and had me getting in and out of customers cars all day, I told them I did not feel safe and wished to go home they were sending everybody home at this point, I was told if I thought I was going to make more money on unemployment, then my job will not be there for me when I got back, I stayed.
I have also had to beg for a dollar raise and they hired someone with less experience at the same amount.
There is a point when the customer is wrong, I will not be berated over the phone while I’m trying to help a customer and be reprimanded for not willing to talk to them, there is a point where I just give up. I honestly won’t go in to the obvious racial prejudice I went through that is another story.

Found a better job and gave my notice Monday morning. A customer was screaming at me over the phone about her flat tire or tire light being on she was screaming and repeating “don’t talk stop talking stop talking!” While I was trying to explain the issue. I told her she can call back when she calms down and hung up the phone. Told the general manager this customer is upset I had to disconnect the phone call and he sarcastically said “ so you handled it perfectly then?” I have heard multiple people hang up or tell people to call back when they are upset to that degree, the rules are different for me though I guess.
Was called into the office and was told, I was trying to “fuck with his customers “told him this was not my intention and he replies thanks for the two weeks but I don’t need it. I say OK cool and left. I’m pretty sure he wanted a bigger reaction out of me because that’s the person he is who tries to make a spectacle out of everything. I already have another job this place was dead end and they did me a favor by giving me this week off. I’m honestly surprised I stayed there as long as I did. Sorry for venting I just need to get that out.
