The boomer have a total disconnect of how much things costs, a house that costed 250k when they were in their 30s currently costs 2M, yet they think a pay equal to what they got paid back then is fair and good enough for us. And gen X people that are the directors and CEOs currently continue that 80s trend of ultra greed for them, with outlandish salaries for the top management while mere crumbs for the rest of the company.
The 80s was a time of extreme greed for the young gen X, money was everything and showing up money was the thing to do.
Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk for example, early gen X, that are CEOs and billionaires, wasting their excess wealth in vanity project instead of provide a fair pay for their workers, and fighting unions.
BTW dear billionaires the best way to avoid a union is to provide a fair living wage to your employees, basically make sure the worst paid of your employees gets enough pay to get a decent live, a house, food, education, healthcare and some savings. Quality of life, if the employees are happy and fullfil their basic needs and a little extra, nobody will need or think of a union.
