So my bank was recently bought by another bank, so our system has to be converted to their system. We have a “test week” to make sure all of the customer data mapped over correctly, and this week requires certain employees to work extra long hours to get it done. I’m talking 60-80 hours this week when I’m used to 40. Anyone who’s been through a bank merger probably knows what I’m talking about, and it sucks.
The hourly employees hate the long hours, but at least they get OT. Salaried employees like myself are just screwed. I also have to work a Saturday as part of this and get no extra compensation. Just wanted to vent, it’s bullshit.
