Redditors Working From Home since the pandemic: what surveillance measures / meeting etiquette has your work place implemented? Should it be more acceptable to ask about it during an interview?

I consider myself fairly lucky in this regard. The only thing I need to care about is keeping the mouse moving so MS Teams doesn't switch to away. Cameras, while sometimes expected, are optional, especially during huge meetings where you are just a listener. Other than that I do my job and stuff gets done. I'm not planning on changing jobs in the foreseeable future, but I know that when the time comes I'll want it to be completely or almost completely WFH. I'm afraid, however, that other companies aren't as lax and might implement much more Orwellian surveillance mechanisms. As someone with ADHD, I need frequent breaks, I often switch from one task to another or just need to grab some food or wait until my afternoon meds kick in. The MS Teams away icon causes some degree of anxiety, even if I was told that no one cares…

The MS Teams away icon causes some degree of anxiety, even if I was told that no one cares about it. Fortunately that is easily solved with mechanical or software solutions.

So, I was wondering what sucky and actually productivity-killing policies were common in other companies and how I should go about it in a future interview?

PS: the reason I specified “since the pandemic” is because it might be more likely for companies unfamiliar with WFH to implement these measures. Please feel free to disregard this if it doesn't apply to you. I'd still love to hear your story.
