My friend has terminal cancer and can’t afford to retire

To make a long story short, my friend and co-worker is 48, and recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that's spread to his stomach and possibly also his brain. Doctors gave him 5 to 7 years tops before it kills him, and that's with treatments that may not all be covered by our employer's insurance. He can't afford to just retire early and kick back for the last years of his life, he can't afford to live what he has left entirely with his family that doesn't want to lose him so early. He gets paid the equivalent of 15.19$ US and has debts to pay off still. This world's a fucking dystopia.
