Today I got fired…and I feel relieved

I worked for this big company (which I use to admired) for the past 11 months. I left my previous job of 10 years, were I had an amazing team and manager, just to end up in the most hostile/toxic environment ever (I tried to get to know more insights about the role and the company before accepting their offer). My manager was an asshole who didn't respond to text/calls even when it was a work/personal emergency, once she threaten to fire the whole team at 2 am for some nonsense & got pissed off when I used my PTO (which she had previously approved). Several times she called to scold me for a project that was pushed back/delayed for heavy external factors which I made her aware of beforehand and even asked for her help, but was met with dead silence from her end.

I tried to put my 2 week notice a couple of days ago but the manager wouldn't have it, instead they fired me today on the spot.

I feel relieved, I rather have peace instead of working with backstabbing people who love to gossip and a rude manager that lacks people skills (unfortunately, several of my co-workers were extremely rude and loved to point out any mistakes). I felt out of place and thankfully I don't have to deal with them anymore.
