A manager tried to give me her employees’ tip money as a refund

I went to a fast casual spot to buy food for my family. I had never been there before and the menu was kind of big. I ordered everything a la carte and as soon as I paid I saw they had a bundle that would have basically been what I bought plus some stuff. I said, “oh dang if I had ordered the family feast it would have been cheaper.” The cashier called the manager over she wrung it up and said it would have been $4 less. I said oh ok not a big deal. She then took $4 out of the tip jar and tried to hand it to me. I felt like Peter because I had to deny her 3 times. Finally I accepted the $4 and returned it as a tip to the employees.
