so I’m highly skilled in design and sales, ten years of experience, got an invite to interview at a luxury retail store, and on the invite it says the pay is $10 an hour and a 4% commission after you sell $5K worth of merch.
I visited the store the other day just to say Hi, while I was there, there were 8 employees to 1 customer, it seemed so dead, and it seemed like it was mostly older adults who seemed burnt out.
on the other hand I just got a client for $45 an hour and it’s a 20 hour job while it may actually only take me 10 hours.
high end retail is not what anyone thinks it is i guess
