I am looking for resources and was hoping here could help. My place of employment drained me dry and I can’t afford school supplies/shoes.

I didn’t know where else to post. I’m in need of some links/suggestions for help with school supplies and things for my two children. I’m a server/bartender/former nurse who has had a rough year. I ended up sticking around in a place where I was guilted into not leaving and ultimately ran through my entire savings because we just don’t have the business, nor the hours. I have been paid 8k YTD since January. Because I work off tips, I have made SO much less than ever and did probably five times the work for the privilege. Covid really hit my area hard, and people just aren’t coming out. I’m not trying to get anyone to feel bad for me, just letting you know my situation. I have a disease that keeps me from working long hours now as I did in the past, or I’d just go back to…

I have a disease that keeps me from working long hours now as I did in the past, or I’d just go back to nursing, but my body just can’t handle it anymore.

I have no family left I can ask for help, and usually try finding a backpack program or something to help if I am having financial issues. My bills are paid (barely) but my 13 year old currently wears clothing that’s too small and shoes that his toes are crammed into because I have no way to replace these things. Does anyone know of any resources that might help? Good will is too expensive, and our church isn’t helping anyone this year (they usually give vouchers for goodwill or for some school supplies) I don’t know where else to look. I’m in WI.

Mainly I just need a good pair of size 10 mens shoes for my poor kid. I promised my next 20-30 bucks I had would go to that, but with gas and food being what it is, I am literally scraping by. Anyone know how I can make that happen? Is there a shoe program? Anywhere to get clothing and school supplies? Thanks so much for reading!

I’m sorry if this isn’t allowed. I am so embarrassed to ask. I am not asking for a handout from anyone here, just maybe some info on resources or whatever you can think of. I’m desperate.
