Well, I didn’t get fired y’all

So I did ask our CEO how raises are calculated, got a legit answer. Then I asked if everyone is capped at the same amount and that’s where it went off the rails. He did give an answer that was factually correct in a bubble, but neglected to mention that some people can get raises due to special circumstances, and that those people tend to be C-Suite employees. I truly wish I had more time to ask questions but this was a short meeting and I wasn’t the only one who wanted to talk. Truly an uneventful occasion but I already knew going in they would never volunteer anything that wasn’t specifically asked. I was never going to call anyone out by name and say “I know Ted over in purchasing got an extra twenty grand this year” because a) that’s shitty to put someone else on the chopping block,…

However, I think I have enough info for my review to bring up those special circumstances with him and maybe get a little something extra. Sorry for the boring update everyone!
