Leaving in 1 week. Not only are they a hyper micro manager… They are openly rasict, a conspiracy theorist anti-vaxer and verbally abusive. I gave a uncustomarily long 45 day notice and was offered to be able to WFH to stay (small department — 3 people other than supervisor) and thought maybe it will be better being removed from the environment. I was wrong. I just got harassed via teams. So Monday I gave a bare minimum 2 week notice after I found out that the boss told her higher ups that I REQUESTED to WFH. Probably in case I leave I look like the asshole that just was too demanding. Well apparently today another employee was fired by HR for being incompetent and now they have exactly 1 person to.do everything. I have a bit of shadenFreude I'll be honest. But as they say, ppl leave managers not jobs. I can't wait for my exit interview
