My employer completely lost my respect when they offered me a promotion.

To make a long story short, I make 45k, I finished my masters and want to get back into my preferred field (project management). I applied for an internal Project Manager position that listed a salary of 90-140k. I did 3 interviews, got letters of recommendation from each manager going up 3 levels, and I made a good impression on 2 existing team members and the manager of the department by reaching out and asking them questions about the position and their experiences. 5 weeks went by and HR reached out to me and sends me a new “internal” application for the same position. To make a long story short, I make 45k, I finished my masters and want to get back into my preferred field (project management). I noticed the new application is nearly identical, except for 2 things. 1. They changed the preferred experience to 4 years instead of 6, and #2 the pay changed from 90-140k to 70-120k. I'm aware that company “pay policy” is to move you up to the new minimum, or if your already exceed it, to do a 15% raise. So I reached out to HR and asked if the pay difference was relevant, her response was to just say the application matches my experience. So I feel like they bait and switched me, but I'm still going to take the offer, it's a 50% increase to work from home. But I feel betrayed and definitely won't stay more than a year. Just going to let them pay for my PMP certification and then bail.
