Manager told me I am overpaid

Title says it all… A coworker has been training me to do his job because he's taking on more responsibilities himself. Well it's now been a few months and I know how to do everything. I asked my manager what was in it for me if I am to take on the job of my coworker on top of mine. Straight answer (and with a smile on top of things?) : You are already overpaid, you will not get a payraise nor a change of job title. Unfortunately quitting isn't an option at the moment. I am so disgusted. And I obviously stopped helping my coworker even though it leaves him in a difficult position… Why would I accept to work more for the same shit salary?! I never accepted to die for this company. They can all struggle, I stopped giving a shit.
