Showcasing these shitty scenarios helps the movement, but realistically it's not by much. So I want to ask you; are we all here, getting worked up regularly, just to do nothing about it? Is this just a meme board for quitting screenshots?
Like where is our direction? What can we do to make an impact? From what I've read, the most any individual can realistically do is to participate in community organization. Be it your workplace or your city.
So where is our organization? What are our goals and demands as a movement?
One of the major hindrances of movements like this is the lack of organization. In my opinion the occupy wall street movement achieved very little with a great deal of momentum because there was little to no leadership. There never was a specific demand list. It was pretty much a series of demonstrations without any requests for change other than “this is fucked, fix it.” So the movement achieved less than its potential. I believe it would be wildly beneficial to come together and make something happen. To have a demonstration of our concerns.
The movement was rather set back by an lone individual having one interview with Fox news and falsely claiming to represent us. We need legitimate representation, so we can come to the bargaining table. They won't consider us until we are a threat.
TL;DR We need to organize demonstrations and make our desires heard. We need to select a few important and achievable goals and start demonstrating regularly to attain them piece by piece. We need to start somewhere.
