I work at a hotel, and we are adding a new tower due to winning a bid with the city to be the “Official events hotel” in our city. Anyways I work the coffeeshop, I've worked there since 2019 and busted my ass off working extra hours and covering tons of shifts. We only had 3 employees and I worked sooo much overtime. A lot of times after my shift I would help the restaurant out too. My old boss knew how much of a hard worker I was. He was there for me and we felt like a team. I constantly got complimented by guests, and was even mention in two hotel reviews this past week.
Anyways I had planned on working at the new towers coffeeshop. I didn't get the supervisor position, which fine (they didnt even interview me)..but they're not putting me over there at all. I have like 4 or 5 new managers and none of them work with me, know me, or communicate with me. They suddenly changed my schedule and have me getting off at 10pm instead of 8pm (I take the bus and have been having to pay for uber now) . I've constantly asked about the positions across the street, and now I'm told that all the new coffeeshop positions are filled (With new people from a hiring event). I'm so tired and frustrated. But I need to pay my bills.
I talked to my old boss, who is now promoted and works under the GM..and he said he was gonna talk with them. But I'm so sad. Should I just leave?
