How accurate is the character of Peter in the movie ‘Office Space’?

Obviously disregarding the money laundering and wacky stuff he does like gut a fish in the office. I feel like I’m like him in many ways. When I’m in the office I casually come in at 9:30am and I really do nothing work related for an hour minus calling into an early Teams meeting. My office has a coffee machine I bought for myself, so I take a few minutes making coffee and unwinding from the long 10 minute drive. I shut my office door and have no lights on save for the natural light from the window. Nobody bothers me that way as they think I’m not in. I get my YouTube music ready and Plex logged in. After all that it’s 10:45 before I know it. I call into meetings and leave my camera off as we don’t have rules on this. Then I check WhatsApp and message my friends and wife. I do my home errands from work like booking house calls for things, repairs, etc.

I don’t like leaving my desk so I just stay in my personal office. I have the benefit of having my office close to the back entrance so I don’t even need to say hi to people. And sneaking out is simple. I take lunch from 11:30 to about 15-20 minutes to my afternoon meeting. Then I go home at 3:45.

When there’s work to be done I do get it done and I always reply to emails during non business hours and I’m on-call, so that’s my justification for slacking off as much as I do. I’m a team of one.

Is anyone else living/working like this?!!
