65 applications total. 44 complete straight up no letter or call or piss-off rejections total. 12 interviews. 6 2nd interviews. 3 offer letters. 1 job. I start tomorrow. I don't know if this is going to work out or if it's the right place for me, I'm going to be the oldest and most experienced person in the whole place. It's a $33k pay cut from my last position. No PTO until after 1 year even though I'm salary. Benefits don't kick in until after 30 days which is going to suck since I'm already paying out of pocket for my medications. No vision insurance. They don't provide steel toed boots even though my position will require me to wear them in order to rebuild the department I'm supposed to rebuild. No prescription safety glasses provided, and yeah, I wear glasses. No office provided even though I'm the department manager. I'm just…I'm worried. I'm happy about landing the job, especially in a position I know like the back of my hand, but the other stuff…yall…I just don't know about this.
