Today I got in an argument with a recruiting manager because she was complaining about how they posted a job position but no young people were applying. Being one of the youngest of the team, she asked me what was my POV.
I replied saying the salary is too little for the requirements of this role (Customer Service Agent). I mean they are demanding for a degree and mastery of microsoft office but the pay is equivalent to someone with no certificate. She then said the stupidest shit ever man.
She said that youngsters are ungrateful brats because to her, someone should start at the rock bottom of the corporate ladder because this has always been the way. So no matter what your education level, whether a degree or something, you'll always struggle at the bottom. She said they are ungrateful because nowadays, young people with degrees are expecting high paying jobs and do not want low wage entry level jobs. She said instead of being ungrateful youngsters should be glad they are offered a job.
I told her she'll get no one. She got mad and said she is the recruiter and she knows better. Then the fuck did you ask the question for?
