So update to my previous post. I recently reported my now previous employer to state agencies that oversee the cannabis industry in Arizona. Well apparently they take that really seriously.
Within a week of my filing the complaints they essentially got “raided”. A dozen suits showed up to inspect the entire dispensary, as well as the operation in back that shouldn’t be there.
None of the dispensary lawyers or higher ups were allowed in to try and mitigate damages or explain away any of the things they were doing against regs. While the main dispensary wasn’t too much out of compliance, my old employer in the back got obliterated.
They have now been closed for 3 weeks as of today. Every day has been a loss of 10k plus in revenue. In the hopes of reopening quickly, they have continued paying all of the employees to the tune of 12k a week in wages (every employees credentials cost $500 to hire a new agent, plus they pay like shit so they’re not exactly lining up). On top of that they had a fine of 57k for all of the violations.
Pretty sure the main dispensary is done with them. Contract is up next month and I’d be amazed if they get it renewed now. Plus word spreads fast in the community, so they’re gonna be radioactive for anyone else they try and partner with.
Hopefully they learn a lesson from this but I highly doubt it. Probably gonna blame everyone but themselves as they fade into nonexistence.
