Is it wrong to be this salty about shitty coworker?

My boss came to me today and told me that they were planning on taking us on a “team building” outage, which is basically where we all take a half day and go do something fun together. I told them I'd probably skip out on it and just go home instead because there is a certain employee who I have no desire to “team build” or become friends with. This team member constantly comes in late, is slow with his work, has friends stop by and hang out with him while he's working, talks on the phone with his friends while he's working, etc. None of this actually affects my job, but I just hate that the rest of us are held to a certain standard, but this guy is not for some reason and just gets to do whatever he wants with no repercussion. Am I overreacting?
