Sibling dealing with company harassment over pet background noise

Venting on behalf of my sibling. They were super excited about this new job and their company at first seemed like they encouraged employees to be their “natural selves” with fun personalities. That initial honeymoon feeling quickly died however, when they were verbally reprimanded about their Macaw in the background during meetings occasionally being, well a bird. Threatened to be written up officially to HR if an infraction occurs again, they're now terrified of ANY background noise and is figuring out if they now need to re-home thier beautiful bird for fear of losing their family's primary source of income. The warning also mentioned that their colleagues would be told to report any future disturbances caused by their birds which seems like an over reach of “Big Brother” and honestly feels like it is borderline harassment or bullying. Has anyone else dealt with or know someone that experienced this kind…

Has anyone else dealt with or know someone that experienced this kind of behavior at their job? Aside from this infraction… My sibling is a very dedicated worker and is super focused on their job all the time and it really hurts her as she was totally into this company and the role up till now.
