So I’m 22F and I’ve been working as a server for 2 months at a country club (golf course). I had no previous experience so they had to train me bc they were desperate for ppl. I’ve been working 40 hrs a week and my boss has been praising me these past weeks for being “on fire”. These past two days I’ve been kinda slow and spacey bc I’ve been working 5 days straight and bc of health issues related to my diabetes. I realize this part is on me. I came in yesterday and it was straight into the fire. I did my job the best I could and received zero complaints from members. But yesterday both of my managers cornered me in a closed office and said things like if usually you seem alright but lately you seem like you don’t want to be here. One manager said it was insulting to her that I wiped down a table that was already wiped bc “she wouldn’t set up a table that was dirty”. One manager said “I don’t know if it’s your blood sugar”. He then threatened to fire me. I told them I’d work on it and by the end of the day I got my usual youre on fire comment. I came in yesterday and it was straight into the fire. I did my job the best I could and received zero complaints from members. I also came in on my day off. I can’t believe that they would treat me like this and on top of that I get this text message last night.
“Thanks Mickey got worn today and did just fine after we spoke- thanks ”
It doesn’t seem like the text was meant for me but idk what to do. My mom said that it’s grounds for a report since all they needed to do was pull me aside and talk to me and they mentioned my disability. I know this is a long post but what do you guys think?
