Borrowing a friend's account…I work as a caregiver. Sometimes working through an agency and others being paid directly by the family. Was currently working for a family taking care of the elderly mother and father. All was well for awhile but they decided to drop the hours from a full time job to a part time job and said they're reducing pay. Needing to pay my bills, I wished them luck and said I'd have to be moving on.
That's the last I heard from them and after no response after sending a few texts inquiring about when I might receive my last paycheck of around $1000 I'm worried I might never get it.
Since I was working and being paid by the family directly, am I still able to somehow get my final check?
