New here, not sure if the topic is allowed, totally understand if it isn’t and needs removal
I live in NZ, where tipping isn’t a thing, and it seems that the majority of people don’t like the idea of tipping. All Americans I’ve spoken to want it removed, and for the workers to just be paid better instead (which I agree with!)
My question is, how do you try and rally that idea? If you don’t tip your servers, then they suffer for the management’s ideals, so surely that isn’t a very popular way. What is the most common method, if there is one?
Again, just curiosity, not in a tipping country so I never understood how you can even try protest the idea of tipping instead of higher wages without hurting the servers.
