Boss told homeless man to get a job.

So I used to work for a company that did ceramic tile and stone. We had a contract to do a restaurant in the downtown area of our city. We were on our way inside after our smoke break when a homeless man targeted my old boss and asked him for spare change. He shrugged to indicate he had none and as soon as we were inside and out of earshot he said “get a job”. My brother was a co-owner of the company so i wasnt worried about getting fired, plus we were already short staffed, so i said “why dont we hire him”. To which the old coot said “he's unemployable” and walked away with his head up as if he wasnt a complete ass. I ended up quitting because he wouldnt let me take off half a day a week to bring my autistic son to speech…

I ended up quitting because he wouldnt let me take off half a day a week to bring my autistic son to speech therapy. I honestly thank him now, i am now self-employed and one of the most sought after tile setters in my city! And my son literally never shuts up now lol:)

Edited to add for a little extra context. I was a drug addict, had a child, recovered and am drug free since the day i found out about my son. He is 6, and ive been a single dad since his diagnosis before he was 2.
