Apparently this is a thing now? Jobs send you “mind games” in the application process to test you. It mostly consists of remembering sequences or matching objects and whatnot. I thought I did pretty well, I only made a few mistakes, yet I got an automatic email telling me they wouldn't be moving forward with my application.
What the fuck? Seriously? They just take one look at these contrived test results and deem me unfit? That's absolute horseshit and I'm still mad about it. These games had nothing to do with the role and I even have a friend who went on the exact same graduate scheme and he can confirm these games or the results play no part in it whatsoever.
Never mind my character, drive, passion etc. The only thing that matters is that I score really well on some dumb game you sent me. It was only an application, but I was such a perfect fit for the role and I never even got to talk to a human. It's just insulting to me.
