I took a sales job with a Major well known company that used to have a stellar reputation thinking the product would sell its self. Well, this is the biggest case of being mistaken I've had. Here's a short list of this nightmare:
– A computer that might as well be an abacus running an obsolete operating system.
– Micromanaged down to the fucking second (literally, this isn't an exaggeration.)- We're treated like underhanded thieves, i.e. when you have problem s with software/system you are expected to provide screenshots. I blew a fuse at home during my shift and they wanted me to somehow prove I'd blown a fuse.
– 10 seconds to wrap up a call after finishing with one customer before taking the next
– Every customer is pissed off because their service they bough sucked or this company is so thirsty they will get a customer to renew and then hound them to buy more by calling almost daily
– People who hang up or disconnect count against our numbers so making commissions is going to be goddamn near impossible so in all reality I'm making less than a 16 year old kid working his first job at McDonalds.
There alot more but I think this gets the general idea across. I. AM. FUCKING. DONE. So, fellow Redditors, help me come up with a way to make my exit that doesn't land me in jail but also let me go out with a bang. I'll be happy to go right up to the line of illegal, but have issues with spending time in a box. It s a work from home job.
