Childcare workers get shafted….

I started at an MDO (Mother’s Day out) teaching 3-4 year olds. The boss there barely paid me and expected me to make and bring my own curriculum. I left there for a lot of reasons, and now I’m at a place where I literally can’t put anything on the walls or anywhere. The room and entire CHURCH has to look as if “no one uses it”. No toys, no learning materials, not even a name tag. I’m given a single rolling whiteboard that has to be put in a closet every single day. And 3 shelves in a cabinet. The kids can’t even eat lunch in the room, and have to sit at adult sized tables in adult sized chairs. For a church to look modern and sleek……I’m just 2 days in and I hate it. My boss is super strict about things that don’t even matter or benefit…

My boss is super strict about things that don’t even matter or benefit the kids at all! Like every Thursday parents need to send $3 for pizza day or the kid can’t have any pizza…..how do you tell 2-5 year olds their parents forgot money so they can’t have pizza???? This is a CHURCH. And the learning materials is nothing but Bible lessons. No letters or numbers or basic social skills. This is why I can’t stand institutionalized religions.
