This is was released in 2006, but it goes into the origins of how corporations started screwing their employees. It really starts at around 1984 when corporations shifting guaranteed retirement plans (pensions) to 401ks type plans (which puts the onus on the employee), even though you were entitled to the pension money.
And what did the corporations do with the pension money that took away? They did buybacks and financial engineering to juice stock prices.
