Joined this small 2yrs old company as a Junior Web Developer, some months back. There were so many red flags, but I ignored as I needed this experience.
The first one being , usage of Hubstaff (an app which screenshots your screen every 5mins and acts as a timer). Followed by working on every other weekends.
Everything was still “acceptable”, till a senior dev (1yr more experience than me), decided to screw up my career bad. He intentionally started bullying me by not updating my work and harassing me verbally. He went so farther, as that I was asked to leave the company. (Also, to mention, nobody listens to me since I'm a “newcomer” and he's an “integral member”, so no point of me complaining , though I did a lotttt).
I regret working extra hours and keeping up with my integrity for a company which doesn't deserve.
I am happy to do so, as it turned out pretty toxic for me to work. The whole experience was extremely horrible. Sad part, I have to complete my notice period and also get a new job soon.
