Job lied to me about going remote any opinions on what I should do?

Been working as technical support for a hot tub/spa company assisting installers over the phone I was told before I was hired I would be able to work remote after two weeks to a month it now has been 22 days since I started working here and they are telling us we can’t go home until we are “fully trained” the commute is over two hours drive time for me I’m driving 60+ miles a day. my previous job I left for this one is now adding up to the same pay due to gas costs What should I tell my manager? We are just picking up phone calls alone we are not haveing anymore training my manager who hired me seems to just hide in his office until we hit him up on teams (Microsoft) and even then we are not doing anything new. he’s telling us it’s orders…

Been working as technical support for a hot tub/spa company assisting installers over the phone

I was told before I was hired I would be able to work remote after two weeks to a month

it now has been 22 days since I started working here and they are telling us we can’t go home until we are “fully trained”

the commute is over two hours drive time for me I’m driving 60+ miles a day.

my previous job I left for this one is now adding up to the same pay due to gas costs

What should I tell my manager? We are just picking up phone calls alone we are not haveing anymore training my manager who hired me seems to just hide in his office until we hit him up on teams (Microsoft) and even then we are not doing anything new.

he’s telling us it’s orders from above we can’t leave after our month of training.

My friend also referred me to this job…

I don’t want to to step on toes but can’t afford the commute for more then a month to be honest… I was told training would be a month max. And now it will be longer because his superiors don’t feel like we are ready… from what I know my friend started training fully remotely. And almost 75% of people in the office as well.
