Making less than new hires?

I have worked at my current job for about 6 years now. My first 5 years with the company I was a full time employee, then I was laid off due to covid closures, and came back on a part time basis (because I also lost my childcare due to covid, I now stay at home with my child during the week.) Anyway, my work is desperate for people, and I saw job listing today stating the starting wage was more than I am currently making. It kind of pissed me off, because while I'm only part time now, I've been with this company for years. Should I say something to upper management about this? I do enjoy my job so I would like to avoid quitting if possible, but I also want to be paid fairly for my time and experience. If I do email upper management, what should…
