I live in a larger county in Florida, and the way that employers are trying to get people working is absurd. I applied to a CSR position (customer sales rep) which I understood as a sales position, however they claim in their description that the base pay was 13.50 a hour plus commission.
I say to myself, this isn't terrible, I just need a job until I can find something I can enjoy. The location is in my town (which is very important) and within 5 miles which is great.
Get a call the next day asking to come in to a interview. The lady asks me all sorts of questions over the phone, setting up the time, everything until I end up asking where are they located. They are located almost a hour away, through rush-hour traffic both ways, so probably over a hour, and none of their job listings state this.
Me and my gf share a car as its getting more and more expensive to have a second car and pay for another insurance plan, and then they go and lie about their store location? I feel like its impossible to find a decent employer that is upfront and honest in regards to their information.
Still applying to many places, its just frustrating to deal with as I just want to work somewhere where there is mutual respect.
TL;DR applied to a company that claimed to be in one place, actually a hour away from the small town through rush hour traffic, trying to bait people into applying that wouldn't know better.
