Does anyone anywhere have a job where you can just leave when the work is done?

A job that if the work takes 3 hours or 9 hours then you leave and paid the same thing regardless. I get that some jobs can't be this way but I feel like A LOT of jobs could be this way. A job that can't be work from home Is this a fantasy?
