The warehouse job laid me off after suffering an injury the same day

This happened in UK. I’m a full time student who needed quick money for grabs to decrease his overdraft and pay for the upcoming rent in my final year of study. Basically what has happened was that, we were picking up very long and bendy moulds? Not sure what they’re, I was just a picker and a new one at that. They were like 20 metres long, made out of plastic I think or wood. But, One packet was stuck to the other and it fell right down my left leg scraping it to the point I was bleeding and it’ll bruise. It hurts to bend my toes and walk. All drivers and employers took my side and said that this was a Health & Safety issue and it should not had have happened, I received a first aid help and they filled a form out and was asked if I wanted to go home and I did as I was worried that it may worsen whilst I go back to work. No one was at fault, we helped this poor lady who struggled whilst we picked lintels.

The agency I’m contracted through messaged me that I’m not required to go back there as they’re ‘understaffed’..

Yeah right, the same day when I got injured?

What do I do?
